5 main causes of welding stress
(1) thermal stress. The welding process of the welding workpieces, uneven heating process is partial and uneven cooling process. This uneven hot and cold process, the workpiece will produce thermal stress.
(2) restraint stress. Due to the component itself or the additional rigid restraint, the thermal expansion of the welding is not smooth, resulting in restraint stress.
(3) phase transition stress: the stress caused by non-uniform structure change in the welded joint area.
